Cross Bet
Cross Bet is another Australian-owned and operated betting site that markets itself as a bookie for ‘Proper Punters’. However, while its website is run on the excellent Betmakers platform, Crossbet’s odds weren’t as competitive as those of other bookies at the time of review.
Racing coverage is strong with live streaming available on selected events, however sports markets are quite limited compared to the larger corporate betting sites like Neds, Ladbrokes & PlayUp.
Licensed By: Northern Territory Racing Commission
Deposit Options: Visa (debit), Mastercard (debit), POLi, Direct Transfer
Withdrawal Options: Bank Transfer
Betting Options: Racing & Sports
Southern Cross Bet
Based in Bathurst, NSW, Southern Cross Bet is a proudly Australian-owned & operated betting site.
Overseen by the experienced Australian bookmaker Mark Johnston, Southern Cross Bet prides itself on its great customer service & competitive odds.
While their betting site is well designed and easy to use, on review, we found their odds to be priced slightly shorter than our recommended Australian betting sites.
For a smaller bookie, their range of in-game markets on sports like AFL & NRL is quite impressive, however still much fewer than offered by sites like Neds, Ladbrokes & PlayUp.
Licensed By: Liquor & Gaming NSW
Deposit Options: Visa (debit), Mastercard (debit), POLi
Withdrawal Options: Bank Transfer
Betting Options: Racing & Sports
BetDeluxe
BetDeluxe launched onto the Australian betting scene in 2020, promising customers VIP-tailored service, exclusive promos, and extensive markets.
Their betting site runs on the excellent BetMakers platform and looks the part. However, on a selection of checked local races, their odds weren’t as competitive as our recommended betting sites. Form guides are well done, but they open in a new window/tab, which is a little clunky.
Sports coverage is good, with all the major leagues covered, and their AFL & NRL odds are competitive – however, some of their $1.90 lines were bettered by the likes of Neds & Ladbrokes. The number of same-game markets available across sports like NRL & AFL was also significantly less than our recommended betting sites.
Licensed By: Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission
Deposit Options: Visa (debit), Mastercard (debit), POLi. Direct Transfer
Withdrawal Options: Bank Transfer
Betting Options: Racing & Sports
Which One Would We Choose?
Overall, there isn’t much separation between these three online betting sites. If we were forced to choose, we’d probably opt for BetDeluxe; however, you’d likely enjoy using one of the online bookies below more.
