Punt123 vs. Jimmy Bet vs. Colossalbet

Punt123

Punt123 is another betting site run by on-course bookies out of Victoria.

Their website is nearly identical to those of many other betting sites reviewed above, as it is based on the BetMakers platform.

When it comes to their racing odds, they’re similar to many of the other smaller betting site operators—they’re relatively competitive but not the best available in Australia.

There are enough sports betting options on offer to entertain the average punter, but like so many other small betting sites, their range of in-game markets doesn’t compare to the large Australian bookmakers.

Licensed By: Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission

Deposit Options: Visa (debit), Mastercard (debit), Poli

Withdrawal Options: Bank Transfer

Betting Options: Racing & Sports

Jimmy Bet

Jimmy Bet is owned and operated by Victorian bookmaker James Filgate. After switching from operating via Bestbookies, Jimmy Bet now offers a wide range of local and international racing markets, along with a modest selection of sports betting options.

Upon review, Jimmy Bet’s fixed odds on local races weren’t competitive with those of some other smaller betting sites, such as Colossalbet, and there were limited in-game markets available across NRL and AFL games.

Deposit Options: Visa (debit), Mastercard (debit), Poli, EFT, Bank Transfer, PayID

Withdrawal Options: Bank Transfer

Betting Options: Racing & Sports

Colossalbet

Colossalbet

Another relatively new betting site, launched in early 2021, Colossalbet is a niche bookmaker catering to premium Australian wagering clients. Customer service options include 24/7 live chat and phone support from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week.

Colossalbet’s local thoroughbred odds were found to be quite competitive with those of larger betting sites at the time of review.

Colossalbet is definitely worth a look if you’re an avid horse punter looking for a more personalised betting experience.

Licensed By: Liquor & Gaming NSW

Deposit Options: Visa (debit), Mastercard (debit), Poli, EFT, Bank Transfer, BPAY Notification

Withdrawal Options: Bank Transfer

Betting Options: Racing & Sports

Which One Would We Choose?

After using all three of the above betting sites, we’d choose Colassalbet – their racing odds were surprisingly quite competitive at the time of review.

However, like most smaller Australian betting sites, their sports offering is limited compared to larger corporates. For a more complete online betting provider, check out our recommendations for the best betting sites.
